Mr Catch is all over the shop, holding down several forts at work. No family trip to Sydney for him, just meetings and more meetings. He's had better weeks.
The younger kids have been emptying the fridge, haring around to entertainments and over-exciting the dog. They're loving it.
My oldest boy is away, playing football in Sydney. All week, I've been thinking of him, wanting to see his moment of famousness and uneasy about the possibility of injury. We were supposed to be at his games.
But, there's a happy ending.
I knew Mr Catch had to go to Sydney for meetings this week. What I didn't know was that he would arrange for me to fly down too, in time to see our son's last two games. Even though there's no family holiday and he has to work, we won't miss a big moment in our boy's year. I told you he was a keeper.
So, I have a beautiful, antique bed in a heritage-listed hotel.
I watched my boy play his game this afternoon. And will see another tomorrow.
There'll be a dinner somewhere in the evening.

Tomorrow, I may do this.
Manly fery
Or perhaps, this.

But, I'll definitely do this. Mrs Woog speaks highly of it and it's just down the road.
